With the truth slowly emerging about how and why the Bush administration took this nation to war, a majority of Americans are finally looking past the TV pictures of "shock and awe" and statue-toppling, and asking hard questions about the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Those who supported the war and those who oppose it have an equal obligation to face the facts about the war -- good, bad and ugly -- so that we can hold our government, and ourselves, accountable. If you or someone you know fought in the war, Americans need to hear from you. If you'd like to tell your story -- what you faced (or still face) on the ground in the Persian Gulf (or Afghanistan), and how the decision to go to war affected you and your family, please contact columnist Joy-Ann Reid to share your story. Reid's column appears in the Miami Herald. She can be contacted at temp715@democrats.com
